Whenever I get vaccine side effects (I get them from flu shots, too) I pretend I’m doing research for sickfic, my dear hurt/comfort love. Fevers are the best kind anyway because they are more aesthetic but deeply distressing. Not that I feel especially aesthetic now... But is it really worth the lying in bed moaning from the Unspecified Ick that is so difficult to describe but is nevertheless a deeply unpleasant wrongness?

Maybe not, but the protection is.

And also I get to whine on the internet, which is one of my favorite things to do.

Thank you! I feel a little bad complaining since I know the vaccine is such a good thing to get and also so many people don't have them yet, but OOF it was a rough time, haha.

it was very very much from personal experience haha but I am better now and I am protected! (well, not quite, but a few weeks and I will be!) so it's a sacrifice for the greater good of fic public health ;)
