thank you thank you! I probably won't include all of them, but I do think I need to restructure my analysis to include a little more lingering on the significance of Lothlorien itself! The "road less traveled" thing just made me absolutely lose it because I'm using Sara Ahmed's description of queer phenomenology as my framework, and she specifically puts it into the context of paths and orientations - and Legolas and Gimli are queer because they follow one another, instead of the paths they are expected to follow . . . so then thinking about Lothlorien as the "yellow wood" where the paths diverge and the Robert Frost thing . . . excuse me I'm frothing at the mouth again.
